Teddy Roosevelt tougher than 50 Cent

(Thanks: The Art of Manliness Trunk)

Of course, as every Milwaukee Public School student should learn, Teddy Roosevelt was shot before giving his speech in Milwaukee during the presidential campaign of 1912.  Roosevelt was running on the Bull Moose ticket against Republican William Howard Taft (Roosevelt’s successor in the White House), Democrat Woodrow Wilson (who would be too proud to fight in World War I, and then did), and Socialist Eugene Debs (Wilson’s lack of pride put him in jail).

Now, friends, I am not speaking for myself at all, I give you my word, I do not care a rap about being shot; not a rap.
