98th Assembly District update

I’ll have to come up with a catchy title for updates from this Republican-leaning district. Republican primary candidate Bob Collison announced yesterday he was endorsed by the The Republican Liberty Caucus.

Collison was delighted to have received the strong show of support from the Republican group. “I’m very gratified to have the support of the Republican Liberty Caucus. To have an organization with such distinguished board members as Congressman Ron Paul and Dr. Murray Sabrin endorse my candidacy is indeed a very high honor,” Collison said.

Meanwhile, his primary opponent, Rich Zipperer, announced today that, were he already a member of the Assembly, he would’ve voted to override Governor Doyle’s veto of tax free Medical Savings Accounts.

“Wisconsin is one of only five states that do not allow us to deduct HSA contributions from our state income taxes. Governor Doyle is preventing Wisconsinites from keeping up with the rest of the country when it comes to reducing health care costs.”
