BlogCon Charlotte

#BlogConClt So I’m in Charlotte, North Carolina, this morning and for the next couple of days at “BlogCon,” a conference of conservative bloggers. This morning we’re learning about how companies like Journal Communications are shedding local reporters like water off a duck’s back.

Because I’ll actually be paying attention blogging will be light the next few days but I’ll be posting a few updates as we go along.

Last night, Sean Hackbarth of the US Chamber of Commerce (always funny when I say that aloud) and I went to the Penguin, a small drive-in hamburger and beer joint. We each had a Penguin Burger, a cheeseburger with pimento cheese and deep fried pickles, and side order of deep fried pickles. Well worth the spelling lesson we had to give the cab driver. (“C-O-M-M-O-N-W-E-A-L-T-H Avenue.”)

Hopefully, tonight it’s drinks with Brian Fojtik of Brownstone Communications.

In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy my coffee and watch Tabitha Hale run back and forth helping people who have never used a Mac before. If you’re here at BlogCon, I’m the good-looking guy in the second row. No, the other guy.

You can also follow my updates on Twitter, other BlogCon tweets on Twitter, and I’m on Facebook, too.
