Bullying in downtown Waukesha
“I have witnessed bullying” is a common refrain that I see and hear from downtown frequently. However, nobody ever names a specific date and time and the specific people involved. It makes it impossible for someone like me to write about the situation without concrete examples at the time they occur because I cannot follow up with the particular persons involved.
Maybe Business Improvement District Executive Director Meghan Sprager will finally “name names” and put these issues into the open, if not at the BID meeting, then at a forum outside of it.
I sympathize with the business owners that are mentioning the bullying, but until you shed public light on the specific behaviors, complaining about generic “bullying” and speculation about motives is not going to make it go away.
I often joke that the mayor’s office and others have never seen anything like me. It’s because when I see someone doing something wrong, I make it very public with specific examples.
