County Board Committee expected to discuss living wage proposal today

0

The Milwaukee County Board Finance, Personnel and Audit Committee will be discussing a Living wage proposal today that will affect not only what Milwaukee County pays its employees, it will also affect businesses that do contract work for the county. As I write over at the MacIver Institute, this will have a devastating effect on the Family Care program and may even kill it in the long term.

An update to what I wrote, last night I was told by a source that the proposal will probably be around $11.45/hour. Family Care already has a starting wage of $10.36/hour.
