Dems lasso Lassa, or the 15 billion dollar woman

9

But will Shibilski spoil the Democratic rodeo? State Senator Julie Lassa is running to replace Dave Obey in the 7th Congressional District. State Senators Kreitlow and Decker are up for re-election this year, so they’re sitting this one out. But WisPolitics.com reports Kevin Shibilski, currently a
former candidate for Lt. Governor, is still considering a run. Could be he’s serious; could be he’s trying to make himself look serious. If he is serious, how much of his own money will he stick into the race?

I understand the desire to avoid a primary. But in the year of the Tea Party is an anointed candidate really the way to go?

By the way, remember Healthy Wisconsin? Remember how state Democrats ran from it during campaign season? Remember the price tag? $15,000,000,000. State Senator Julie Lassa, the fifteen billion dollar woman.

Just imagine if Lassa had her way and Healthy Wisconsin passed how much additional damage would have been done to the Wisconsin economy. It was an idea too radical for even Governor Jim Doyle to support.

You thought Obamacare was unpopular, welcome to the world of Lassa-care. Lassacare was a $15,000,000,000 economic massacre.

Let’s all say that number again. $15,000,000,000. We can even add the two decimal places for the cents. $15,000,000,000.00. Residents of the 7th Congressional District are going to be seeing that number in their sleep by the time Republicans are done.
