Forget politics, eat chili
It’s time once again for the Village of Wales Chili Cook-off this Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Kettle Moraine High School, 349 N. Oak Crest, in Wales, Wisconsin. It’s chili, and it’s for charity.
Here’s how it works. You bring a food donation for local food pantries and you get to try some great chili recipes. At the end of the day, awards will be handed out to the winning chili recipes in each category. Both the public and a committee of judges will pick the winners.
Feed yourself and feed the hungry. Democrats or Republicans, it doesn’t matter. What matters is chili.
The 4th Annual Municipal Chili Cook-off on will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Cook-off is open to any municipal employee or elected official. Judging will be done by the public. Come vote for your community, clerk or elected official. There will be chili entries from many local communities and 5 different chili categories: Mild, Hot, Vegetarian, Wild Game or White (chicken, turkey, etc.). Winners will be determined in two categories, individual and overall municipality. Please join us for a day of fun.
Beverages and desserts will be available for purchase. Admission to the event will be 2 or more nonperishable food items or a cash donation and will allow the person to taste all entries.
If you have any questions regarding the event or want to donate to the food pantry, please contact the Wales Village Hall at 262-968-3968.
