Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day out there to all of my readers. If you’re looking for something other than green beer to lift your spirits, there are quite a few posts related to the day and Irish history in my archives. The archive button is on the right hand side and just follow it to any March for more. One new post this year from one of my favorite poets.

We spent the day yesterday following our daughter to three schools in the Waukesha area where she performed with the Trinity Irish Dancers. It was my first time on such an adventure and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. The older dancers are amazing and  you can see how much the younger dancers have already learned. Behind the scenes it’s all very well organized. It’s really easy to be a parent at these events. Just get the list of places and go.

(Memo to self: buy daughter Crocs to go over the soft dance shoes.)

After spending some hard time trying to drive the snakes from government, I’m going to spend the rest of this great afternoon driving the snakes from my backyard.

Had lunch over at Fuzzy’s today (had to meet with some people off Main Street) and had an excellent hamburger while observing the revels that had already begun. I’m told that the bars started serving early and often downtown. If you’re reading this before heading out tonight, please be careful out there. Don’t drink and drive. Watch out for the drunk drivers out on the road.

And stay out of bar fights.
