I should be on Fox News

Just ask Tim Schilke.

Before Todd’s fabricated story became public, McCain’s Pennsylvania communications director told reporters an inflated version of the story. He pointed out to reporters that the “B” scratched into Todd’s cheek stood for Barack, even before the artificial details of the original story were available. John Moody, the executive vice president of Fox News, was also quick to jump on Todd’s fabrication to score political points.

“If Ms. Todd’s allegations are proven accurate, some voters may revisit their support for Senator Obama, not because they are racists,” wrote Moody on the Fox News Web site, “but because they suddenly feel they do not know enough about the Democratic nominee.”

Fellow Freeman columnist James Wigderson was instantly skeptical of Todd’s story on his blog, asking the obvious question: Why did the assailant scratch a “B” instead of scratching an “O”? Bravo, James. Bravo. There’s a position available in the McCain campaign in Pennsylvania for Republicans like Wigderson who can keep their heads even when the chips are down. It appears that Fox News could also probably use his help.

Yeah, well, that’s cuz I’m a genius, that’s why. On the other hand, Jim Rowen thinks he likes what I fear.

I see the transit and transportation changes he worries about as real advantages for the region.

I hope they serve bottled water on those trains he wants.
