Congressmen that deserve special attention
Our old friend, attorney Mike Maistelman, has been busy. When Congressman Joe Wilson bursted out with, “You lie!” as the President was lying to a joint session of Congress, Maistelman immediately launched an effort on Facebook to oppose the Congressman. Sarcastically, I responded, “I thought he was married to Valerie Plame. Now there’s a guy with a lot to apologize for.”
Wilson, of course, was an idiot. If you’re going to break all precedent and shout at the President from the floor of Congress, than I suggest having something more to say, like, “You know there’s no enforcement provisions! You and the Democrats in Congress refuse to allow them!” And then he could have thrown a shoe. I’m told liberals like that.
Maistelman’s efforts gathered a little press (unsurprisingly the Journal Sentinel does not mention how much Wilson has raised). Kevin Binversie offers his thoughts on the matter:
In related news, both Joe Wilson and Rob Miller have reportedly surpassed the $1,000,000 mark on fund raising since Wednesday night. Mashable and other web-watching sites also report liberals have been trying since Friday to institute a DDOS (Denial of Service) attack on Wilson’s website to stop his fund raising efforts.
That would be those well-behaved liberals I keep hearing about. They must have been taking a break from calling in bomb threats.
Of course, while attention is focused on Wilson, Charlie Rangel goes free. Talk about unprecedented offensive conduct.
Update! 10:32 PM: The paranoia on the Left continues with the Joe Wilson Conspiracy Theory. No, really. (ht: Mickey Kaus)
