Well, either Jerry Bader at WTAQ just opened himself up to a serious slander lawsuit, or he has the explanation of why Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton decided not to run (audio). (Thanks to Lakeshore Laments.)
Look, I’m not looking for saints in public office. But if her lifestyle was such an open secret supposedly, how stupid would she have to be to consider running? Did she think it wouldn’t eventually come out?

Allegedly, Barbara Lawton is in an “open marriage”. One of her alleged female lovers, allegedly a member of the Doyle Administration, is feeling spurned and threatened to go public with “visual evidence.”

Wow… that is pretty significant… and he better have some hard evidence… otherwise you are right… a major lawsuit would be in order if untrue.
