Run, somebody, run
Such is the state of the Democratic Party in this state that even former mayors are declining to run for governor. It’s gotten so bad, Republicans are taking out ads begging for an opponent. Democrats are even floating the idea to Dan “Peephole” Bice of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett serving as governor while living in Milwaukee.
Oh yeah, that’ll work.
Ed Garvey for governor. A candidate the Cap Times can be proud of.

Good heavens! The democrats have hardly been as dilatory about finding a candidate as you might think. Part of the fun is to have the Republican candidates tear each other apart in the absence of a Democrat to attack. This is not an unusual situation no matter the party when an incumbent of one party steps aside.

Maybe I should run as a Proxmire Democrat.

Nobody should run for Governor. The whole Government needs to
dissolve post haste!
The US Constitution – it attracts freedom minded people like moths to
a flame – it’s like fly paper go get freedom minded people to have
delusions of limited government so tyranny rob them of EVERYTHING -
Vote ANARCHY in 2010!

Michael,
I don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen any infighting between Republican candidates for governor. Perhaps you are practicing wishful thinking?

Huck,
William Proxmire would have quit the Democratic party over a decade ago if he were alive today. It’s not the party my father supported as a union worker for all his life. The democratic party use to support working class family values. That ended with the Clinton’s.
Proxmire would have run as an independent for Mayor. Of this, I am certain.
