Is it just warm in here or is it just the global warming bill up in flames?

1

State Representative Spencer Black blames the State Senate for not having the votes, the State Senate says it’s the Assembly’s fault because the bill is too expensive.

To give you an idea of why it’s so hard to pass the bill in the Senate, Senator Jeff Plale in the video says he’s reluctant to support it, Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker says he’s reluctant to support it, Senator Tim Carpenter says he’s reluctant to support it, and Senator Kathleen Vinehout is complaining there is not enough time to debate the bill.

Oh yeah, and nobody’s believing the PSC’s fig leaf either.

And some of us don’t like it for other reasons, like the fact that it opens the door to more nuclear reactors without any new language to protect citizens and ratepayers from terrorist attacks, ,high-level radioactive waste, or expensive construction costs. That doesn’t belong in a “clean energy” bill.
