Congressman John Murtha passed away today. He was 77.
Murtha was considered one of Congress’ most corrupt members and a champion of hidden earmarks and pork-barrel projects for his district. He was involved in the ABSCAM scandal, and most recently was the subject of a probe for illegal contributions.
