The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting John Kalblinger is running in the recall election of Waukesha Alderman Peggy Bull. Kalbinger is off to a poor start by putting Frank Greuel on his campaign committee, although I guess that is to be expected. It will be interesting to see what Kalbinger proposes to do [...]

Or how about this whopper: Scrima announced Tuesday night that he would work with the city attorney to prevent any more sex offenders from moving into the city.

I whispered to state Rep. Bill Kramer sitting in front of me, “Well, your job is done.”

If a mayor and the city attorney could stop sex offenders from moving into Waukesha, it would have happened by now. Cities are able to impose reasonable restrictions (as Waukesha has) but ultimately the state and the courts determine in which city the sex offender lives.

Scrima either doesn’t understand the issue, or he’s just trying to shamelessly pander again.

The Libertarian Party sinks to a new low:
When members of the San Bernardino County Libertarian Party elected Matthew Barnes as the group’s vice chairman for 2010, they knew he was a registered sex offender.
“The members of the party that voted for him, they voted for him knowing he had completed his time and his punishment [...]

Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske, MULS Restorative Justice Initiative, and the Milwaukee Archdiocese completed a documentary, The Healing Circle, to help create greater understanding of clergy sex abuse and the victims.
A few years ago, I started thinking about how the Catholic Church, as a community of people, really needed to look from [...]

Good news for the sexual predators up the street. That is, I think they’re still up the street. Maybe. Anybody know where the sexual predators are?
As part of his budget, Governor Doyle would reduce the monitoring for many sexual offenders from active real-time monitoring to passive after-the-fact monitoring. Instead of an alert [...]

You thought the state putting sexual predators in your neighborhood was bad.

Does it occur to Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser that his version of the story doesn’t sound so great, either?
In a December 1978 letter, Wycislo wrote to the chair of the Diocesan Personnel Committee chairman:
“I have just spent a half hour with the district attorney for Outagamie County, who presented me with evidence of [...]

Why is this guy only serving one month in jail? He knew she was 15, and this is the second girl he sexually assaulted. From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Randall Shesto II of Waukesha was found guilty in June of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in her Town of Mukwonago home on Dec. 22. [...]

We received two calls from the sheriff’s office letting us know we had a new resident in our neighborhood, Heriberto Castillo Jr. He’s a real prize. Unfortunately the article doesn’t say which judge let loose this sexual predator in a neighborhood full of kids. What, couldn’t find a place west of the river?
Note: The [...]
