Kramer, exit stage right

WisPolitics is reporting former State Assembly Majority Leader Bill Kramer will not seek re-election. According to WisPolitics, the Government Accountability Board received a declaration of non-candidacy from the Waukesha Republican. Kramer’s colleagues ousted him as majority leader after revelations of alleged sexual harassment and a groping incident on a trip to Washington D.C. Kramer has been in a treatment facility since news of the allegations broke.

Multiple sources tell me Waukesha Alderman Aaron Perry may be interested in entering the race to replace Kramer in the Assembly. Other candidates in the Republican primary are possible, even likely, given the conservative make-up of the district.
