Living in a post-Ament Wisconsin

Former Milwaukee County Executive Tom Ament died earlier this week and there was plenty of reliving the pension scandal and the aftermath. As I explain in an article for RightWisconsin, the lasting effects of the Milwaukee County pension scandal go far beyond the impact it had on Milwaukee County government.

Ament will be remembered not only for the pension scandal but the Ozymandian works of County Government. But after they fade, the lasting legacy is a public that gained a voice and learned how to take back its government.

(For those of you who complain to me about having to subscribe to read my articles, RightWisconsin is currently running a special.)
