Lucy, you have some ‘splainen to do
Governor Scott Walker’s people are going to have to do better than this.
Walker deferred most questions in his meeting with reporters, saying that he wanted to abide by the rules of the Doe probe.
“We will continue to cooperate with them,” he said.
Asked if he had talked with prosecutors or investigators, Walker told the Journal Sentinel last week that, “I have not, and I certainly would be willing if they asked me to in the future.”
So on the one hand he is not the target of the John Doe investigation and he has not been asked any questions by the John Doe investigation. On the other hand, he is going to remain silent because of the rules of the John Doe probe.
They really need to spell out what Walker knew and when. And if that’s inconvenient to some people currently working for him, then that’s too bad.
By the way, have I missed the statement from Brett Davis? I guess not.
I’ll probably have more thoughts on this mess tomorrow morning but the more I read the two complaints the more questions I have. And the person that isn’t the target of the investigation and hasn’t been questioned by the investigation needs to answer those questions.
