Maistelman came with the furniture

I was waiting for a liberal blog to comment on this. If you win an election to become Governor of Wisconsin, you get state bodyguards, the governor’s mansion, and Mike Maistelman.

Most interestingly, Tim Russell – the county housing administrator and a former Walker campaign aide – has retained Michael Maistelman, an election lawyer who has made a name for himself by representing the campaigns of prominent Democrats, such as Gov. Jim Doyle and U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold.

Investigators seized the computer and other material from Russell’s county office earlier this year.

Maistelman represented Chris Liebenthal when he was investigated for similar reasons. (Coincidentally, Liebenthal looked like an idiot when he attacked Tim Russell in error over his salary – small world.)

I’ve not had the chance to ask Maistelman about the case yet, but don’t be surprised if the John Doe probe does not result in anything serious. And it won’t be because Nettlesheim is from Waukesha, as he is hardly a partisan Republican.
