More transparency from our mayor
I like to think that I’m a positive person, and I’m positive that the mayor’s not very “transparent.”

Subject: Wigderson attacks Gibson GuitarTown Project
Blogger James Wigderson is making inquiries into the Gibson GuitarTown Project for the purpose of causing trouble.
If he contacts you, please refer him to our Chairman and Attorney Rick Congdon.
Mayor, City of Waukesha
201 Delafield Street
Waukesha WI 53188
(I’ve redacted the email addresses of the recipients.)
Note, this was from Mayor Jeff Scrima prior to my first blog post on the GuitarTown project and prior to his email to Meghan Sprager, the executive director of the BID, telling her not to be so cooperative with me.
As for “Wigderson attacks,” the only thing I’ve really attacked so far is the secrecy and paranoia surrounding this project. The mayor’s determination to obstruct any inquiries into the GuitarTown project is the biggest threat to the project, one that could be great for our community. At least now the public can see that it is the mayor’s own paranoia that is fueling the divisions downtown.
