No royal invitation yet
It’s unseemly to beg for a wedding invitation.
Michelle Obama says that if she gets an invitation to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, she’ll attend the highly anticipated event.
But so far, the first lady says she has not been invited to the April nuptials. Mrs. Obama says she isn’t offended. She says marriage is a personal, private matter and the couple should invite who they want.
I’m not surprised she hasn’t received an invitation yet. Look at the crappy gift-giving record. Michelle Obama’s gift probably wouldn’t even cover the cost of her meal. And would you want someone at your wedding lecturing the guests no to eat the food?
“Oh, don’t eat that cake, your majesty, it’s fattening.”
It would be enough for the British monarchy to think they got the better end of the deal in 1783.
