Not a good way to change your reputation
Waukesha Mayor Larry Nelson was elected President of the Wisconsin Alliance of Cities on Wednesday. Nelson, who is running for re-election in the spring, already has a reputation in the community as someone who travels too much. Then there’s the continuing controversy over whether Waukesha needs a full-time mayor and a full-time city administrator which has gained new momemtum with the Common Council’s passage of a schedule of pay raises for the mayor. Voters may ask if they really need to be subsidizing all of Nelson’s club memberships if he doesn’t already have enough to do.
