Schimel’s a crime stopper

Candidate for Waukesha DA Brad Schimel was selected to become the next chairperson of Crimestoppers, inc. From the press release:

Crime Stoppers of Waukesha County announced this week that Brad Schimel has been elected Chairperson of the organization, to succeed Chairperson Paul Bucher. Paul Bucher has served as Chairperson since 2000.

Paul Bucher, outgoing Waukesha County District Attorney currently running for Wisconsin Attorney General, nominated Schimel to succeed him. Recognizing his accomplishments as a successful prosecutor in the Waukesha County District Attorney’s office, the Board unanimously voted Brad Schimel Chairperson.

Crime Stoppers of Waukesha County, Inc. has been in existence for approximately 15 years and offers rewards of up to $1,000 to the public for tips in solving Waukesha County crimes. There are currently 23 members on the Board of Directors, consisting of law enforcement, community representatives and members from the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office.

I don’t think you get the full reward for turning in your neighbor for watering his lawn on the wrong day.
