Should have cut at least one more supervisor
WAUKESHA – With just a few days remaining before Tuesday’s filing deadline, County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus said Wednesday no one has come forward to run for the 14th District supervisor position being vacated by Bonnie Morris.
“No one has taken out papers, even started, but the filing date deadline is Jan. 5, Tuesday,” Nickolaus said. “We are requesting that someone who’s thinking about it and may not have acted on it to know no one is expressing interest at this point.”
Morris announced her intent to not seek re-election early this month. Her district covers parts of Dousman and the town of Genesee.
Apparently reducing the size of the Waukesha County Board to 25 was not enough. Especially when you consider…
Candidates must circulate nomination papers and get the signatures of 50 voters in their district and return the papers to Nickolaus’ office by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Interested persons can consult the county’s Web site, visiting the county clerk’s page and clicking on election information. Or they can call the clerk’s office at 548-7010 during business hours Monday; the courthouse is closed the rest of this week. Because of that, Nickolaus said interested persons in need of information before Monday can contact her through her family’s business, Musky Mike’s Bait Shop, at 560-1189.
When the county is taking applications at the family bait shop, it’s time to do some more cutting.
