As I wrote over at RightWisconsin, nothing says Peace on Earth and Goodwill towards Men like a clenched fist. The Wisconsin AFL-CIO has an ornament you can download and make for your non-exclusionary diversity evergreen. It’s the Wisconsin public employee unions Blue Fist. Just print out the pdf file, fold, tape, and be angry. What […]

The MacIver Institute has a new video explaining the latest social media tool being used by the unions to get out the vote: I get asked sometimes why I “like” so many Democrats on Facebook. It’s so I can follow them. I’m wondering how many Democratic GOTV contacts I’m going to be subjected to when […]

So what do Mahlon Mitchell and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett have in common? By coincidence, it’s also what they have that’s not in common. Both Mitchell and Barrett actually said things about Act 10 collective bargaining reforms that were not union-approved. Mitchell praised Act 10 for exempting police and firefighters, while Barrett said it didn’t […]

Another liberal Democratic governor is working to limit state employee collective bargaining privileges, this time in Illinois. “I fervently support the right to bargaining, right to form a union,” Quinn said after speaking at the annual Rainbow/PUSH conference. “At the same time, there have to be some positions in government which are management positions and […]

In an e-mail to his colleagues: Please note that all 14 Democrat senators are still in contempt of the Senate. Therefore, when taking roll call […]

The MacIver Institute has some great photos from the Democratic demonstration on Saturday at the Capitol. Just click the “March 12 Protest” tab. Warning: some of the signs in the pictures are not suitable for children, despite the number of children in the crowd. I think this is my favorite. That’s the “new tone” for […]

Publication: Waukesha Freeman (Conley); Date: Mar 10, 2011; Section: Opinion; Page: 8A Why don’t we all get along? Nobody likes being told no The question was asked of Gov. Scott Walker, “Why won’t he negotiate?” Walker responded that there was nothing left to give, and the mantra was born. Walker is being a dictator. Walker […]

The MacIver News Service is reporting the Republican members of the State Senate just passed the union provisions of the state budget repair bill 18-1. State Senator Dale Schultz, as expected, was the sole dissenting vote. The Senate sent the bill to the State Assembly and adjourned. Print this entry
