The next item up for BID
On some of these items, the price isn’t right. I imagine that after the election there is going to be a lot of discussion about the expenditures of the Business Improvement District and who authorized them on what authority. Some of my favorites include who authorized the horse drawn carriage service for $5,160, what equipment was rented from eFunds Corporation for $950, the $50 dues to the Waukesha Downtown Business Association, the $3100 for Wisconsin Public Radio advertising (for what?), the $3,107.50 to Quickprint, the $282 to City Screen and Embroidery, and the $1,200 to Mary Sponholtz.
Not to mention the $4,690 to “dba/Waukesha Art Fest” on 10/17/13. That will be an interesting discussion.
Whoever becomes the new city attorney may have some defending to do before this is over.
