Was Taylor looking for a sympathetic ear?
I’m told by my spy network Milwaukee County Supervisor Steve Taylor was spotted at the governor’s mansion this evening, a guest of State Senator Chris Larson. (I’m guessing staff counted the silverware after Larson left.) If Taylor was looking for a sympathetic ear in Madison, I doubt he could find many who believed a county board should be full time. After all, not even the Dane County Board is full time.
Actually, Taylor should be used to it. Judging from the result of the referendum in Franklin, the area he represents, about 8 in 10 of his neighbors disagree with him, too.
Might be something Taylor should think about, since supporting a full time County Board makes him more of an endangered political animal than anyone on the county staff he thought should be leaving anytime soon.
