Water plan moves forward
The Water Commission met tonight to consider recommending to the Waukesha Common Council to move forward with the application for water from the Great Lakes. The commission voted 5-0 in favor. The plan now goes to the Common Council to vote April 8th, and it’s likely the Common Council will approve the application. Yes, it’s two days after the election but, win or lose, Nelson will still be the mayor for that meeting.
I spoke with Mayor Nelson this evening and he told me that everyone who spoke at the meeting spoke in favor of Waukesha continuing with the application. He also told me that anyone interested in having their comments included with the application have next week to get them in.
Scrima, et.al., were not in attendance.
