Where the cool people are

I’ll be stopping by the Waukesha County Courthouse this evening to see the first election in years run by someone other than Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus, at least in theory. Autographs will be available, as always.

I understand Fifth Congressional District Chairman Jeff Christensen will be there, too, to actually see a Democrat win an election in Waukesha County, even if it’s only a primary. Don’t know if he’ll have former President Jimmy Carter on the phone in case there’s another election meltdown.

(By the way, is there anyone more worthless to send in to “observe” an election than Carter? Maybe John Kerry?)

Keep away from open flame and Graeme Zielinski

Hopefully Christensen can prevent another Graeme Zielinski rant about Waukesha before he sets fire to the county flag.

Afterwards, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will be speaking to supporters at the Waukesha Victory Center at 10:00 PM.

When: Tuesday, May 8, 2012
Event Start: 9:45PM
*Governor Walker will be speaking at 10:00PM

Where: Waukesha Victory Center
1701 Pearl Street
Waukesha, WI 53186

Other cool kids (of drinking age) are going to be at the Election Night edition of Drinking Right. As always, it’s at Papa’s Pub Social Club, 7712 W Burleigh St, Milwaukee, WI 53222.

The drink will flow and blood will spill
If the boys want to fight, you’d better let them

That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song
The nights are getting warmer, it won’t be long
It won’t be long till summer comes
Now that the boys are here again
