Alexis Patterson’s father given 18 years for abuse of other daughter

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting Kenya Patterson, the father of missing child Alexis Patterson, was sentenced to 18 years for severely beating and injuring another daughter who is eight months old.

She doesn’t have complete control of the left side of her body. She can’t hold anything in her left hand. She can’t place weight on her left leg. Blood collected behind her right eye has compromised her vision. She has lost brain matter.

Her childhood is about physical therapy, long visits to her doctors and medical procedures.

This “man” has an extensive record.

He has a lengthy criminal record. He has four felony convictions, all drug related.

He has been charged 10 times with misdemeanor battery. Once with felony battery. He has been convicted but once. In the other cases, charges were dropped when the alleged victims refused to cooperate.

But of course, he does have a character witness, the girl’s mother.

“He’s a good man,” Cynthia Campbell said. “He’s been made to look like a monster.”

Just in time for Father’s Day.
