Assembly Majority Leader Bill Kramer’s statement on President Obama’s visit to Waukesha
From the press release sent this afternoon:
Waukesha, WI – Assembly Majority Leader Bill Kramer (R-Waukesha) issued the following statement today on President Obama’s visit to General Electric’s Waukesha Gas Engine:
“I am proud to have so many great businesses in Waukesha, not the least of which is General Electric’s Waukesha Gas Engine. As a mainstay of the community, they contribute in so many ways to the vibrancy of the area. It is no wonder that President Obama has chosen to visit this great business.
“It is my sincere belief that the good workers at Waukesha Gas Engine will show the President that they are there because of their own hard work, not because of a benevolent, big government. They stand there today as a testament to the ingenuity and hard work of all Americans and will be the driving force as we work together to rebuild the American Dream.
“Instead of more government, more spending, and more regulations, what the American workforce is crying out for is for government to step aside and let the full potential of Wisconsin’s – and the rest of America’s – businesses and families be unleashed.
“Washington would do well to follow the lead of Wisconsin, where Republicans in the Legislature continue to return tax dollars to the hard-working people of Wisconsin and empower every business to grow and thrive.”
Kramer represents the Waukesha area in the state legislature.
