Bikes, kettles and chili
Lest anyone believe that nobody in Waukesha rides a bicycle or that Waukesha is unfriendly to bicyclists, one of local bike enthusiasts says “Bikesha” is Friday the 18th at 7:00 PM:
…Friday the 18th at 7pm. Per tradition, we’ll be meeting at Cafe de Arts from 6-7, rolling out on the River Walk & Fox River Parkway and finishing up at Magellan’s for the best pizza on Main St! $10 a person to cover pizza, OR bring 2-3 nonperishable food goods and WE COVER THE PIZZA! Since its the giving season, more is better ;). In fact, thanks to Ray’s Indoor Park, we have some swag to give away to whoever donates the most food and whoever bikes in the most food. Bring lights, dress warm and see you then!
Since my bicycle is hooked up like a Gilligan’s Island generator to my Christmas lights, I’m afraid I won’t be able to attend. Those of you that do attend, remember to fill the basket on your bike with canned goods.
Speaking of canned goods, don’t forget this Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM is the annual Wales Municipal Chili Cook Off. Donate some canned goods for local food pantries, enjoy some chili. I plan on being there, and it looks like George from Waukesha Tattoo and Mrs. Too Kool will also be there.
Of course, George is currently promoting the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign. If they raise $500,000, Major Ron and Major Carol will dye their hair purple. George is wondering what he should do if the Salvation Army hits $500,000. Something tattoo related, of course. Perhaps a (temporary) Mike Tyson-like facial tattoo?
