Politics shaken, not stirred
Perhaps Senator Schultz should spend less time gazing into the mirror and more time thinking about what he’s going to say.
Update: Liebenthal, bite me.

I say we trade Dale Schultz to the Democrats in return for a box of paper clips.
They’d never pay that much! Hubris and Karma, they gonna getcha, Dale.
Keep it up guys. Don’t you realize that it’s Republicans like Schultz and Snowe that keep the State Senate Republican and the US Senate less Democrat, respectively? It just seems plain stupid to push these folks away, particularily when a bonifide Democrat would be in their place given who they represent.

Really? I wasn’t aware that Schultz represented Madison and Milwaukee.

When Schultz retires his district will send a Dem to succeed him. The GOP needs a big tent, just like Reagan always used to say. Reagan would likely throw-up, to paraphrase Santorum, if he saw today’s GOP. Reagan knew when to comprimise – which yes, applies to Schultz in this instance, but to the GOP as a whole on most other matters. Walker could’ve avoided this recall debacle with a little bit of compromise back in Feb 2011. In fact wasn’t it Schultz who proposed a sunset provision for the collective bargaining provisions?

Really? You’re going to compare Dale Schultz to Ronald Reagan. Are you out of your mind?
BTW, “When Schultz retires his district will send a Dem to succeed him.” It looks like his district is sending one now.
Of course I wasn’t comparing Schultz to Reagan. I was citing Reagan to make a point on the importance of a big tent. This whole comparison to Reagan business is getting a little out of hand. For example, I’m sure you’ve seen those allussions applied to Walker (made by Margaret Farrow among others). However, unlike Walker, Reagan only went after the unions after he was provoked by an illegal strike. Same applies to Thatcher. Apologies for the history lesson.
