The video player says “Sorry – This video does not exist” – seems fitting some how, and probably better for Sarah Palin in general if people don’t actually listen to her speak, or try to.
Scary stuff. You like this sort of absence of logic?
It’s fine for Sarah Palin to pander about “the Super Bowl champs” in her folksy shtick — most speakers before a crowd do this to one degree or another — but there was a glaring irony when she did it. Consciously or not, she was referring to the only publically owned sports franchise in the entire country; a team whose name refers to blue collar union jobs (meat packers); an entity of professional athletes who all belong to the players’ union in the first place — the representative of whom is the very quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. And it was the players’ union who came out that first week of the rallies back in February and went on record to say this: “The NFL Players Association will always support efforts protecting a worker’s right to join a union and collectively bargain. Today, the NFLPA stands in solidarity with its organized labor brothers and sisters in Wisconsin.” Furthermore, current and former members of the Packers went even further, criticizing the governor and State Legislature for stripping the rights of public workers. (Release here http://www.weac.org/news_and_publications/11-02-15/Current_former_Packers_players_speak_out_against_governor_s_attack.aspx).
If you’re going to co-opt the disenfranchised voice of gays and lesbians, then be true to your tea party libertarian spirit and support their civic dignity by fighting against oppressive governments taking private taxpaying citizens’ rights. And if you’re pro Packers, you’re pro union.
Thanks for reading.
Still thinking of the…Well somebody think of the children… Rendered stupid by her…
I hate to see my fellow Wisconsinites fall prey to the Marcsis philosophy of confiscation of liberty and property from there fellow man to enrich themselves. Using government to steal for you is no different then carrying out the act yourself. The tyranny of the majority was the reason our founders created a republic ,not a true democracy. The left pretends to be wise yet they don’t even understand where they get these ideals. Unfortunately for the communist in this country the founders gave us the 2nd AMENDMENT as well . Good luck with that transfer of wealth thing , have you seen how many Americans have been arming themselves since Mr Hussein has become president! Our power now is in the states. we must start there .
