Train to school freedom
National School Choice Week started last night with events in Los Angeles and Phoenix. Phoenix drew over 7200 people, including the Jonas Brothers. Here is a report from the Los Angeles kick-off event:
I spoke with Andrew Campanella, President of National School Choice Week, this morning as his train headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico for another event. Look for the results of that interview on the MacIver Institute website early next week as Campanella and I talked about the importance of school choice beyond Southeastern Wisconsin, among other things.
National School Choice Week is making abreakfast whistle stop in Milwaukee on Wednesday, January 30th, at the Grain Exchange. It will be a bi-partisan gathering with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
