Wisconsin Voters Sound Off on Transportation Fund Raids


Voters in 53 counties passed advisory referenda that read: “Should the Wisconsin Constitution be amended to prohibit any further transfers or lapses from the segregated transportation fund? The referendum effort was promoted by Waukesha’s County Executive Dan Vrakas who saw the raids as a fundamental betrayal of the trust voters give to government.
