When the Eugene Kane standards took a vacation

Always fun to poke at:

From a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel chat transcript, August 27, 2009:

The way I remember it, I was very hard on Bush because at the time, he was doing a terrible job and hurting the country. He put us into a wrongful war that cost billions, he was letting his VP run the country and dicatate policies on terrorism and homeland security that weakened our image abroad, he was taking WAY too much vacation time and never seemed intellectually engaged on any big picture issues.

(I don’t believe presidents should be criticized for vacation time, either. If President Obama isn’t interested in what’s happening in Egypt, then it doesn’t matter if he’s on the golf course at martha’s Vineyard or practicing putting in the Oval Office.)
